Congratulations to the Foltz Lab at Northwestern University for their new paper "UBR7 acts as a histone chaperone for post-nucleosomal histone H3"! We were happy to contribute to this story! Click here for full text.
The lab has completed its move to Houston, is unpacking, and opens its doors at Baylor College of Medicine! We are recruiting for multiple positions at all levels - postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, computational biologist, and research technicians & associates - so please email Kyle if you're interested in joining us!
We are thrilled to announce that the Eagen Lab will be moving to Baylor College of Medicine on November 1, 2021! We will be joining the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology and will also be affiliated with the Center for Precision Environmental Health, the Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Center, and the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy. We are recruiting for multiple positions at all levels, so please contact Kyle if you're interested in joining us! Kyle is honored to be awarded a generous First-Time, Tenure-Track Faculty Award from the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT). This CPRIT grant will allow the lab to pursue high-risk, high-reward projects at the interface of nuclear organization and cancer. Click here for the press release from CPRIT.
Congratulations to Celeste on receiving an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship!
Our review with collaborator Chris French at Brigham and Women's Hospital presenting a mechanistic model for how fusion with NUT supercharges BRD4's function as a transcriptional coactivator, including our recent discovery of a novel nuclear subcompartment, is published in Oncogene!
